Yesterday I got my Minimac. Today I installed FreeBSD on it. Yes there is very experimental support for PowerPC.
You need:
Peter Grehan’s miniso, the corresponding blurb, Garance A. Drosihn’s Howto, Peter Grehan’s powerpc packages.
Unfortunately I was not able to build my own world, or kernel, and I have not got X working, so I have to consult the freebsd-ppc Mailinglist.

I now have my own world. I forgot two patches to gcc. There is now a wikipage that lists everything needed: http://wikitest.freebsd.org/moin.cgi/powerpc
